We finally celebrated Gabe's birthday this weekend. Grandma and Grandpa Stromberg came to town for Kip's graduation (Congrats Kippy!) and we started the celebrating on Thursday. Thursday afternoon Gabe and Hannah worked together to score a goal at their soccer game. Hannah kicked the ball to Gabe and Gabe kicked the ball in the net. They are both showing steady improvement and really starting to get into soccer. They're having a great time and looking forward to trying new sports. In a month or so Gabe will try out t-ball.
After the game Grandma, Grandpa, Kip, and Nicole joined our family for pizza, cake and ice cream, and then presents. It was a great night. Friday after Gabe got out of school and Kip graduated, the whole family went out to lunch and then went over to Nickel City to have a blast playing laser tag and pretty much every game in that place. The kids picked out some prized possessions with their tickets, and that wrapped up birthday number six for my first born. We love our Gabey.
I asked Gabe to hold up six fingers. Looking at the picture later I noticed Aiden showed us how old he is too.
Opening presents was an interesting experience. So close to Aiden's birthday, he thought all of Gabe's presents were his. Here he is stealing Gabe's new ball and bat right out of his hands. Gabe is a great big brother and happily shared his presents with Aiden.
Waiting for Grandma, Grandpa, and Kip and Nicole to get to Nickel City.
We highly recommend laser tag as a fun family activity for all those young and not as young. We all had so much fun! Nickel City is awesome in my opinion. It's cleaner, cheaper, and way less crowded than a certain rodent themed kid's play place. Gabe said he had a great birthday and is excited that he still has money to spend from Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Joe and from Great Uncle Randy.
